Criteria for Membership in the Montessori Quality Assurance Program


Member Schools

Schools participating in the Montessori Quality Assurance program will:

  • Hire AMI Trained Teachers and assistants
     
  • Openly and actively demonstrate a commitment to all AMI principles in practice and in promotional literature
     
  • Engage in yearly consultation
     
  • Maintain current MSC membership for all AMI Montessori trained staff members
     
  • Participate regularly in AMI workshops, refresher courses and conferences
     
  • Provide literature to parents concerning Essential Characteristics of AMI environments in support of the full development of the human being
     
  • Pay an annual fee
     

Membership is renewed annually


AMI Recognized Schools

Schools meeting all of the above criteria may apply for the certificate of AMI Recognition. To achieve and maintain AMI School Recognition, schools will also meet these additional criteria:

  • Meet all of the Essential Characteristics of AMI Environments in support of the full development of the human being
     
  • Maintain AMI Consultation once every three years
     
  • Pay annual AMI Recognition fees
     
  • Maintain current MSC membership for all AMI Montessori trained staff members
     

Certificate of AMI Recognition is renewed annually
